Preparing for Safeguarding Trust audits
Safeguarding Panel members from parishes across the diocese at an information session in Antrim on September 13.
Parish Safeguarding Panel members including clergy and select vestry members have attended a series of information meetings organised by Diocesan Safeguarding Compliance Officer David McGrory.
Held in All Saints’ Parish Centre, Antrim, a total of six two-hour sessions were organised for Wednesday September 13 and Thursday September 14 to accommodate as many participants from different parishes in the diocese.
Bishop George Davison attended the Wednesday evening session. All parishes have to be audited for safeguarding compliance over the next three years, and David said the information sessions were to help parishes prepare for these audits.
