Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade celebrates 130 years

The Ulster Regiment of Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade (CLCGB) is celebrating 130 years of CLCGB in Ireland.

A Regimental Dinner was held in Brownlow House, Craigavon, and present were Archbishop John McDowell, President of the Ulster Regiment; Mr Andrew Hayday, Governor of the CLCGB; Mr Melvyn Lockhart, Deputy Governor; Mr John Williams, Regimental Commander; Mr Perry Gunn, National Co-Ordinator; along with Regimental Staff, Officers and Leaders. 

Archbishop McDowell was presented with commemorative crystal to mark the occasion. The Armachian Quartet from the Royal School Armagh provided musical entertainment at the start of the evening.

On the following day, a Regimental Service was held in Christ Church, Lisburn.  Lisburn Young Defenders led the parade and members travelled from all over Northern Ireland to attend this special service.
