Cruse Bereavement Support and Funeral Partners NI are holding a special candlelit Service in St Anne’s Cathedral in memory of loved ones on Sunday December 10.
From 1pm, the Cathedral will be open to give opportunity to place a token in memory of a loved one, on one of the Remembrance Trees, standing in the side aisles. These trees will remain in the Cathedral for the whole of period leading up to Christmas Day.
Then at 3.30pm, the service ‘An Occasion to Remember,’ provides an opportunity for remembering those no longer with us. The service will feature beautiful music from the Cathedral Choir and a solo harpist, along with readings, poetry and silence in the candlelight. Prayers will be led by representatives from across the traditions.
Everyone who has lost someone special, particularly during the restrictions of the Covid pandemic is most welcome to this special event.
Those planning to attend the service from 3.30pm are asked to register online to ensure sufficient seating. For further details please phone Cruse Northern Ireland on 028 9043 4600.
