Ballyclare Parish Weekend – ‘shaping, encouragement and fun’
Ballyclare parishioners and guest at the Parish Weekend in the Kilbroney Centre.
The Kilbroney Centre, Rostrevor, was the venue for the United Parish of Parish of Christ Church and St John, Ballyclare, Parish Weekend from February 2-4.
Around 60 members of all ages took part in the weekend’s activities, for which the theme was ‘unplugged – disconnecting to reconnect’.

The rector, the Rev Jonny Campbell-Smyth, said: “We considered how there are so many distractions in today’s world that pull us away from a committed life with Jesus, and for our need to reconnect with him.”
Parishioners were joined by Dr Paul Coulter who provided teaching and Ian Hannah who led worship. Connor’s Children’s Ministry Development Officer Victoria Jackson and Diocesan Youth Officer Christina Baillie cared for and taught the young people.
Jonny added: “It was a weekend of shaping, encouragement, and a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came, and we look forward to another event in 2026.”
