Romance in the air at St Nicholas and All Saints, Belfast

Thursday June 27th 2024

Romance is definitely in the air at St Nicholas and All Saints (UniChurch), Belfast, with a series of no less than seven engagements in just six weeks!

The rector, the Rev Trevor Johnston, believes that this is a first in living memory for the church.

Trevor said: “Hearing the news of an engagement is thrilling enough, but hearing of seven in the space of six weeks must be something of a record!

“Each couple is delightful, has in common a clear love for Christ and a desire to witness to the gospel of Christ. Their marriages will spotlight that even greater relationship – Christ and his people, the Church.”

Last year St Nicholas and All Saints had five weddings over the course of the year and already, in addition to the seven engagements, there are four other weddings.

The seven newly-engaged couples are:

Jack Gibson and Lois Tate who are both teachers. Jack is a former ministry apprentice at All Saints’, Belfast.
