Connor churches taking part in EHOD 2024

Thursday September 5th 2024

St Catherine’s Parish Church, Killead, is among those which will be open to the public on September 14 and 15.

European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) 2024 will run on September 14 and 15 and many churches in Connor Diocese will be taking part.

Celebrating local architecture, history and culture, this annual event takes place across Europe on the same weekend in September.

The theme for 2024 is ‘Routes, Connections and Networks – Links in our Heritage’

In Northern Ireland European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) is run by the Department for Communities with the support of the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Each year more than 250 people open their doors and organise events for EHOD across Northern Ireland. It is a once-a-year opportunity for curious families, architect lovers and heritage enthusiasts to explore buildings and exclusive sites rarely open to the public.
