Lisburn Cathedral hosted the Connor Big Sing on Sunday September 22 with workshops for singers and musicians during the afternoon and the Big Sing Celebration Service that evening.
Sponsored by the Chapter at Lisburn Cathedral, the Big Sing is a day of training and fellowship as participants learn some new contemporary Christian songs. Check out our photo album below.
The Dean of Connor and rector of Lisburn Cathedral, the Very Rev Sam Wright, said he was delighted that so many had signed up for the event.
The Cathedral’s musical director, Stephen McLoughlin, offered training for musicians and Julie Harper, former leader of Lisburn Community Choir, provided vocals training for all singers.
Music recordings were sent to all participants in advance and Connor Big Sing 2024 books were distributed to all participants on the day.
James Turner, Worship Team Leader at the Hub Chaplaincy at Queen’s University Belfast, led an afternoon worship seminar and Q&A as well as leading with a band of musicians at the 7pm Celebration Service.
Lisburn Cathedral’s musical curate, the Rev Lee Boal, shared God’s Word and the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev George Davison, closed the service.
