The Rev Canon Mark Taylor and his wife Fran looking very much the Victorian couple at St Patrick’s Parish Church, Whitehead’s Victorian Christmas Bazaar on November 30.
The event in the parish hall was organised as part of the village’s annual Victorian Street Fair, which saw a packed schedule of local acts, Santa in his grotto, steam train rides, hog roasts, fairground rides, children’s entertainment, talks at Whitehead Library, guided walks and various musical performances throughout the town.
There was also a Civic Carol Service, lantern parade and, of course, the switching on of the Christmas lights.
The Christmas Bazaar in the parish hall attracted a large number of visitors and raised in excess of £2.200 for the work of the church in the local community.
