Monkstown hosts youth Christmas Event

Christmas wrapping fun at the Connor Youth Event.

Young people from across the diocese travelled to The Good Shepherd, Monkstown, on Friday December 6 for the annual Connor Youth Christmas Event.

More than 50 people enjoyed a great night filled with worship, food and games!

The evening opened with hot dogs, followed by an inflatable Santa Bungee Run, a Christmas wrapping challenge and a design your own bauble craft station. Following these activities, the young people came together to worship, with Mrs Jen Christie sharing from God’s Word and praise led by members of The Church of the Good Shepherd.

This was the final Connor Youth Event of 2024 and also a final event of outgoing chairperson, the Rev Danielle McCullagh. Thanks were expressed to Danielle for her work and sacrifice for Connor Youth over the past number of years.

The young people and their leaders were delighted to be joined by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev George Davison, who spoke during the worship service and, as the photos show, even had a go at the Santa Bungee Run!
