Wednesday February 19th 2025

Our diocesan magazine Connor Connections is coming to a church near you!

The spring issue is out and will shortly be available for all parishioners in churches. Be sure and pick up your free copy.

In this issue, the members of Connor’s Discerning Ministry team – the Rev Peter Jones, the Rev Danielle McCullagh, the Rev James Boyd and the Rev Canon Amanda Adams – talk about their new roles in shaping vocations.

We chat to Alison Skillen, who has just taken up the post of Diocesan President of Connor Mothers’ Union, about her involvement in MU and her vision for the next few years.

Former CMSI mission partners Ronnie and Maggie Briggs reflect on their life and and talk about their new charity, Water Drops, which focuses on projects to supply safe and clean water in rural areas of their beloved Kenya

Isabel Scott, aged 85, has sung in the choir of Christ Church, Ballynure, for the past 75 years, and she shares some lovely memories of her time singing praise to the Lord.

In this issue, we also meet a Ukrainian refugee family who were welcomed to the Glens of Antrim after fleeing their homeland at the start of the war. Mum Olena recently had her new baby baptised in St Patrick’s, Glenarm.

Naomi Jennings, who has taken on the role of Pioneer Family Wellbeing Coordinator at Agherton Parish, has herself battled serious illness. Naomi tells us about her work, and her years spent in India.

There is an update on the accidental fire that caused major smoke damage in All Saints’, Antrim, over the Christmas period, and we also hear the latest clergy news, Mothers’ Union news and all the happenings in youth and children’s ministry.

All this and more in the spring issue of Connor Connections.
