Some of the many individuals and events which feature in the summer issue of ‘Connor Connections.’
The summer issue of our diocesan magazine Connor Connections is out and available from your parish church.
Featuring one of the beautiful stained-glass windows of St Stephen’s Church, Millfield, on the front cover, this issue contains a wealth of stories from across the diocese.
We have interviews with long-serving Diocesan Readers Jack Hassard and Neil Wilson (95 years between them!) and Simon Neill, Director of Music at St Polycarp’s, who was invited by King Charles to visit Windsor in recognition of Simon’s support for community music
Lisburn Cathedral’s musical director Stephen McLoughlin tells us all about his crazy round Connor run – 170 miles in just four days – to raise funds for the Cathedral, and we also read about the installation of new Canons at Lisburn Cathedral.
We look back at the VE Day Commemoration at Belfast Cathedral and at Connor MU’s Festival Service also held in the Cathedral.
On Maundy Thursday, at the invitation of Bishop George, Connor clergy and lay readers came together to renew their ordination vows.
There is all the latest news from our children’s and youth councils.
All this and more – plus lots of familiar faces!
In his message on page three, Bishop George writes:
“As you read this magazine, I hope that you will be inspired by what God is doing in his Church and use these things to help you reflect on the message that you communicate day by day, and perhaps even be inspired to communicate more of God’s love to others today.”
