The Rev Dr Ron Elsdon
The late Rev Dr Ron Elsdon.
It is with much sadness we record the death of the Rev Dr Ron Elsdon. A former rector of St Bartholomew’s Parish Church, Stranmillis, Ron retired in 2013 and he and his wife Janice later served with the clergy team at Belfast Cathedral.
Ordained in 2000, Ron was curate in Ballymena and Ballyclug from 1999-2002 and rector in Stranmillis from 2002 until his retirement.
A Service of Thanksgiving for Ron’s life will be held in Belfast Cathedral on Monday August 4 at 11am.
Sincere condolences are extended to Janice, to their sons Peter and Andrew, and to the wider family and Ron’s many friends.
