The Rev Frank Bernardi, rector of St George’s Anglican Church in Tunis.
The Church of Ireland’s Council for Mission is organising a special morning conference on Thursday February 12 at the T3 Conference Centre in Lisburn with the Rev Frank Bernardi, rector of St George’s Anglican Church in Tunis.
Frank, who will be visiting Ireland as a guest of the Church of Ireland Council for Mission, will speak on God’s heart for the nations through Scripture and lead a discussion of what this means for engagement with the nations.
Attendees will have the chance to share insights and hear from others as the conference explores what this means for the mission of the Church for the nations.
Frank is an Associate Mission Partner of SAT-7 and the Intercontinental Church Society (ICS), and shepherds both an English-speaking expatriate community and a local Arabic-speaking congregation, mostly from a Muslim background. His ministry is driven by a twin passion to foster contextualised and culturally authentic expressions of worship, and to develop indigenous leaders. A profile of the work of St George’s can be found on the church’s website.
Before moving overseas, Frank served in urban ministry and church planting in the inner city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Anne, are married with four children and have committed their lives to sharing the Gospel in North Africa. Anne leads an economic empowerment initiative, addressing one of the region’s most pressing needs – access to employment and job training.
The event is free to attend and no registration is required, with the following schedule:
Lunch is not included but can be purchased at the adjacent Vic-Ryn Café. Church leaders, ministry teams, and mission representatives, from across the whole Church in Northern Ireland, are invited to come to what promises to be an inspirational morning and to consider how we can bring the whole Gospel to the nations present here in 2026.
The conference centre is located at House of Vic-Ryn on the Moira Road (postcode BT28 2RF) with Google Maps directions available HERE.
