The Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade (CLCGB) has announced the appointment of Caitlin Morgan as its new National Development Officer, effective from March 1.
Caitlin brings with her a longstanding commitment to the Brigade, having first joined as a teenager. She currently serves as the Governor’s Youth Representative, a role that has deepened her understanding of the organisation’s reach and influence.
“Having been part of the Brigade since my teenage years, I have seen firsthand the positive impact CLCGB has on children, young people, and the wider communities it serves,” she said. “This experience has shaped my desire to support and strengthen the organisation in a more formal development role.”

Caitlin’s vision for the future of the Brigade is rooted in both continuity and growth. She is passionate about helping the movement modernise where appropriate, while preserving its legacy, values, and Christian identity.
She believes that the Brigade gives young people ‘a strong and lasting foundation — something that is increasingly vital in today’s society and greatly needed across the UK.’
A priority in her new role will be expanding recognition of the Brigade’s work so that ‘its impact, values, and opportunities reach new communities and volunteers.’
Professionally, Caitlin brings valuable experience in finance, operations, and stakeholder support, alongside strong organisational and communication skills. She also holds a Digital Marketing Certificate from the University of Chicago, which has enhanced her expertise in audience engagement, communication strategy, and digital promotion.
“I am enthusiastic about using these skills to support growth, visibility, and engagement, while remaining true to the Brigade’s identity and ethos,” she said.
Caitlin is particularly motivated by work that empowers volunteers, strengthens communities, and ensures young people continue to benefit from safe, meaningful and exciting programmes. She emphasises her commitment to serving in a way that reflects the Christian and Anglican foundations of the CLCGB and is fully prepared to travel to support the organisation across the country.
Her appointment marks an important step in the Brigade’s ongoing development and growth within parishes. With her combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and evident passion for the organisation’s mission, Caitlin looks forward to contributing to the CLCGB’s growth and long-term sustainability.
“I am looking forward to having the opportunity to contribute my skills, experience, and long-standing commitment to CLCGB as National Development Officer,” she said – a commitment now fully realised as she begins her new role.
