Autumn ‘Connor Connections’ out now!

Wednesday October 14th 2026

The autumn issue of our diocesan magazine Connor Connections is out now and can be collected from churches from this Sunday.

The cover of the magazine features some of the glorious flowers and plants that are proving a real draw for families taking time to enjoy nature by following the new sensory trail in Ballymoney Parish’s Quiet Garden, with the full story inside.

We meet Ballymacash parishioners Ian and Kathleen Stewart, who earlier this year received an award for their volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity in Cambodia. They give us an insight into their trip with the NI Scout Network.

Our newest deacons, the Rev Andrew Brooking and the Rev Matthew Campbell, tell us about their journey to ordination and what they are looking forward to doing in the parishes in which they are serving.

Over the summer, a team from the Church of the Good Shepherd, Monkstown, went to Uganda with Abaana Ministries. The Rev Nathan Ervine looks reflects on the visit – a visit which witnessed brokenness and hardship, but also great joy, generosity, transformation and hope.

Last year, the Rev Lynne Gibson, rector in Ballymacash, introduced The Bereavement Journey, a programme which supports people who have lost a loved one. Some of those who have stepped out on this journey speak about what the programme has meant for them.

We preview next October’s Pilgrimage to Malta, when the Rev David Humphries invites you to follow in the Footsteps of St Paul, and look forward to the re-opening of All Saints’ Parish church building in Antrim which was badly damaged in a fire in December 2024.

Looking back, we revisit Connor Diocesan Synod; the Anglican Consultative Council meeting held in Belfast; the Mothers’ Union 150th anniversary celebrations; Summer Madness and Streetreach; and the Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, held in the city for a week in August.

With plenty of photos, news of retirements, celebrations and much more, there is lots to read in the autumn Connor Connections. Pick up your free copy now!
