St Luke's Parish Church is currently for sale.

St Luke’s Parish Church is currently for sale.

The Diocese of Connor has refuted claims that St Luke’s Parish Church in Northumberland Street, Belfast, has been sold.

Over the weekend, two severed pigs’ heads which were daubed with racist slogans were left at the front door of the church, which closed for worship in 2006.

The Diocese said: “It is completely untrue that St Luke’s has been sold. Any sale would only take place after a process involving the Select Vestry, Diocesan Council and Representative Church Body.

“The highly distasteful act which has taken place is profoundly saddening.”
