Carnmoney Craft Fair raises £1,700

Friday November 9th 2007

Carnmoney Parish Church hosted a Craft Fair which raised more than £1700, with half the proceeds donated to Cancer Research.

The Fair was very well supported by exhibitors and customers.

CMS Ireland had a stall which had hand crafts on sale from different missions in for example Kenya, Yei in the Sudan and from Nepal.  Among the many crafts exhibited were hand made jewellery, cushions and clocks made from "squashed"  glass bottles – very novel and apparently popular for the man who has everything!

Carnmoney parish continues its fundraising activities on Saturday November 17 when it holds a Coffee Morning from 11am-1pm in the church hall to raise money for the Haematology Unit in The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. All are welcome.
