St Anne’s Cathedral is to host A Night of Celebration Praise with The Kerygma Good News Choir on Saturday November 7 at 7pm.
Senior BBC News journalist Will Leitch will host this event, and he will be joined by former Methodist President, the Rev Dr Heather Morris. Heather will bring a short reflection during the programme in her own very thoughtful style.
Kerygma, which was formed for the Diocese of Down and Dromore Year of Mission, sang for the Archbishop of Canterbury in Down Cathedral on St Patrick’s Day and at the Bible Week. The choir members come from all Christian backgrounds and share a desire to express their Christian witness in song.
The concert will be a joyful blend of performance and worship in the spirit of Songs of Praise and with a real sense of celebration. The choir will perform anthems in a variety of styles accompanied by orchestra and praise band, and there will be opportunity for audience participation in favourite hymns and worship songs.
Refreshments will be available during the interval.
