‘Ballyclare Remembers’ – A Remembrance exhibition
St John’s Parish Church, Ballyclare, is hosting a four-day exhibition from November 5-8 in partnership with the Ballyclare Branch of the Royal British Legion.
‘Ballyclare Remembers’ will feature not only a display of memorabilia including objects, artefacts and personal items, but a series of talks and interactive exhibitions as well as a schools’ programme on the first two days.
It will run each day from 10am – 9pm – you can view the full programme in the image below, and a warm invitation is extended to visitors from the local community and beyond.
The rector of Ballynure and Ballyeaston, the Rev Jonny Campbell-Smyth, said: “November is important when we think of Remembrance, but this exhibition aims to go deeper.
“Remembrance calls us to honour those who have given their lives in conflict, but as a Church we recognise the conflict and persecution that happens on fellow Christians across the world every day.”
Entry to the exhibition is free, and all donations go to support the Royal British Legion and Voice of the Persecuted Church.
Refreshments will be available on Thursday and Saturday.
