St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, holds is Advent Procession on Sunday, December 3, at the new time of 7.30pm.
This special service begins in darkness. The congregation and all participants will carry a candle, and these will be lit before the first reading.
The choir will sing from different parts of the Cathedral during the service, including the Baptistery, Chancel and Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Clergy will also move around the Cathedral and Readings will be delivered from different areas of the Cathedral.
All are welcome to this beautiful and atmospheric service of movement and light.
During December the Cathedral will be hosting a range of visiting Carol Services – check out the website calendar for details – and St Anne’s own Carol Services take place on December 17 at 3.30pm and on Christmas Eve at 8pm.
There is also an 11pm Service of Holy Communion on Christmas Eve, and our main Christmas Day Service (Holy Communion) is at 11am.
