Connor’s new bishop, the Ven George Davison, will be consecrated at a service in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, on Thursday September 3.

The co-consecrators will be the Archbishop of Armagh; the Bishop of Meath and Kildare and the Bishop of Derry and Raphoe. The preacher will be the Rt Rev Kenneth Clarke, formerly Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is likely that churches will still be operating under strict rules of social distancing in September, and so attendance will be limited to the family, close friends and colleagues of the Bishop-designate. The service will be streamed and recorded.
