Canon Dr George Lings is one of England’s leading missiologists and an expert on the development of Fresh Expressions in the UK context. Until recently he directed the Church Army Research Unit in Sheffield and has contributed to ground–breaking research on the contemporary state of the church. He is particularly identified with the Mission–shaped Church report and has visited Ireland on numerous occasions.
