Pause for Hope – a service for all affected by cancer

May 15, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Belfast Cathedral is hosting the first Northern Ireland ecumenical service organised by Pause for Hope on Sunday May 15 at 3pm.

Pause for Hope is a charity which seeks to serve all affected by cancer. The aim of this service is to bring together in prayer everyone in any way affected by cancer or in its management, including patients, carers, families, doctors, nurses, those who have responsibility for providing and managing resources, and scientists searching for a cure.

Closely associated with the Roy Castle Lung Foundation, this service offers a place for reflection, support and strength in prayer.

The renowned trio ‘The Priests’ will be singing, alongside the ‘Sing for Life’ Choir of Cancer Focus NI.

The preacher will be Bishop Michael Router, Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh, and the service will be led by Mrs Gillian McGaughey, Belfast Cathedral, and Bishop Trevor Williams.

The service will end with refreshments for those who wish to stay.
