St Bartholomew’s Parish Church, Stranmillis, is hosting a Platinum Jubilee Street Party on Saturday June 4.
Thirty tables will be laid out in Mount Pleasant and parishioners and local residents are invited to enjoy refreshments and a wide range of activities including corgi knitting and a Royal quiz, while there will be fun for children in the Rectory garden with a bouncy castle, face-painting, trails and more.
Older residents will be interviewed about their memories as parishioners celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.
The parish is also making up jubilee bags for housebound parishioners, and there is some lovely jubilee memorabilia, including the special pens (above).
The Platinum Jubilee Street Party is grant aided by Belfast City Council.
