Clergy, youth leaders, uniformed organisation leaders and Sunday School teachers are invited to the ‘All Inclusive Seminar’ Meeting the challenge of special needs in church.

Mark Arnold, Chief Operating Officer from Urban Saints comes to Moira on November 12 to address some of the issues which churches face today in working with children with special needs.  This is the first time that the ‘All Inclusive Seminar’ has been delivered in Northern Ireland and it will give churches and youth groups practical ideas on how to be more inclusive.

“Most children’s and youth workers want to include kids of all abilities and needs in what they do but many struggle to make this a reality,” comments Mark who has a teenage son on the autistic spectrum.

“There are many different kinds of special or additional needs, and each child can present different challenges and opportunities.  Often churches find it hard to navigate the path of being caring and inclusive while meeting the needs of all the children they work with.”

The seminar gets underway at 7.30pm in St John’s Parish Centre, Main Street, Moira.  Tickets are free but places should be booked in advance via https://allinclusiveseminarmoira.eventbrite.co.uk .
