Armoy bowlers win Connor pairs tournament
Armoy Parish bowlers James Elliott and Norman McNeill took the honours in the Connor Diocesan Pairs tournament in Broughshane on Friday October 26.
The competition, which took place in St Patrick’s Parish Hall, attracted 27 pairs of all ages from across the diocese.
After a competitive evening, the Armoy gents defeated the pairing of Leslie King and Davy Bell from St Cedma’s, Larne, in the final.
Organiser Beth Clyde, secretary of Broughshane Indoor Bowling Club, said the tournament had been a great success and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it. Donations during the course of the evening raised £75 for the diocesan Yei Schools Project.
