Spring Musical evening at Derryvolgie Parish
A Spring Musical Evening will be held in St Columba’s Church, Belsize Road, Lisburn on the evening of Friday April 18 at 7.30pm.
The programme will feature Des McVeigh, Alan Murphy and the Parish’s own talented group, The Derryvolgie Singers led by Graham Murphy on piano and James Hamilton on guitar. They will present a mix of gospel and popular music.
Also taking part will be special guest Julia Clarke. Julia, who in 2007 released a CD, has a wonderful voice far more mature than her 14 years. She has drawn comparisons to former a young Charlotte Church and has sung with her college in such major venues as Belfast’s Waterfront Hall.
Supper will be served during the interval of the two-hour fundraising concert. Admission is £7 for adults (including supper) and £3 for under 12s. Tickets are available at the door or by phoning 028 9260 2993. Proceeds will be used to support the maintenance and upkeep of the church property.
Come along and bring a friend to what promises to be a most entertaining and enjoyable evening.
