MU members respond to Baby Unit appeal
An appeal to Connor MU members from the Baby Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital has received a very positive response.
Staff at the unit issued an appeal for little quilts and tiny cotton dresses for premature babies earlier this year.
Connor Diocesan President Mrs Moira Thom said: “I'm delighted to say that the project has been well received by members and I have no doubt will produce stock for the unit.
“We featured it at Spring Council in April (giving details of size, material etc) and interviewed a nurse from the unit who talked about how the quilts are used. I am aware of a pack of nine quilts given to us this week.”
Moira added: “We will be organising a visit to the unit at the Royal very soon to hand over whatever number we have by then.”
