Betty honoured for 50 years at the organ

Betty Scroggy in familiar pose at the organ.Fifty years at the organ in Largy Parish Church was recognised with a special evening in honour of Mrs Betty Scroggy on August 26.

An evening of entertainment followed a presentation of a painting of Largy Church to Betty from churchwardens Kate Magill and William Wright on behalf of the parishioners and Select Vestry of St Mary's Church, Ardclinis.

Larne Choral Society provided the singing accompanied by Robert Farran on the organ. After the entertainment everyone enjoyed a fine supper. Best wishes to Betty for many more happy years playing the organ in Largy Church.
