Service against homophobia at St George’s, Belfast

Wednesday May 6th 2009

The International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO Day) on Sunday May 17 will this year be marked in Belfast for the first time by a special church service.

There will be a Service of the Word for IDAHO Day at St George’s Church, High Street, at 3pm. The theme of the service is ‘Don’t Throw Stones,’ and the speaker will be Mr. Colin McCormick.

The service is being organised by Changing Attitude Ireland, the Christian pro-gay network which is working within the Churches for the full affirmation of persons who are gay or lesbian. There will also be church services for IDAHO Day in Dublin and Cork. More details at www.changingattitudeireland.org
