St Brigid’s prepares to celebrate 50 years
Members of St Brigid's parish church are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the beginning of their church in the Glengormley area this September.
A daughter church of Carnmoney Parish, the first building was dedicated on September 5 1959, and, since then has grown and developed into the vibrant and active church it is today.
Part of the celebrations will include an exhibition of memorabilia such as old photographs, videos, and items from special events, dedication and consecration services, weddings, baptisms, fairs and sales.
Anyone who has relevant memorabilia they are willing to contribute to the exhibition is asked to contact the church office on 028 90843027 or email: stbrigids@btconnect.com.
