Diocesan Secretary June Butler chats to Arthur McCartney (centre) and the Rev Chris Eason at the coffee morning.A coffee morning organised by two members of staff at Church of Ireland House has raised £255 for the Dean of Belfast’s Black Santa Appeal.

The event took place on Wednesday December 2 in the Boardroom at Church of Ireland House and was supported by staff and other guests.

A previous coffee morning organised by accounts staff Loraine Brown and Nicola Carson in September raised £320 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

At both events the girls sold cards, jewellery and crafts, which on this latest occasion were very timely for Christmas.

This year's Black Santa Sit-out, which raises funds for charity every year, begins on Thursday December 17.
