Well-known priest speaking at healing service

Tuesday October 5th 2010

One of the foremost speakers in the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland will be speaking at the Monday evening healing service in St Anne’s Cathedral on October 18 at 8pm.

Father Pat Collins has been involved in renewal and healing for almost 40 years.  He worked very closely with the Rev Cecil Kerr in Rostrevor, and his heart is very much in interdenominational work.

On October 18 Pat will address the theme ‘Reducing Stress and Finding Peace.’

Bro David Jardine, one of the organisers of the service says: “Pat Collins wrote a book about overcoming stress 30 years ago.  With a very busy ministry and much in demand as a speaker stress was obviously an issue he had to cope with.

“He would say himself that over the years, by the grace of God, he has become a much stronger person.  So he is well suited to giving advice on reducing stress and finding peace.’

Worship will be led by Paul and Beulah Shields from Bangor.

Prayer for healing and anointing with oil will be available at this service.
