Building on success of Back to Church Sunday

Tuesday April 12th 2011

A series of events has been organised to enable more parishes to benefit from the Back to Church Sunday initiative.

The event had a very encouraging beginning in Ireland in 2010 and to build on this the Church of Ireland Council for Mission is hosting a series of events in association with the Methodist Home Mission Board.

These take place as follows: Wednesday April 13 – 11am Tallaght, Dublin; 7:30 pm Londonderry

Thursday April 14 -11am Knocknagoney, Belfast; 7:30 pm Lisburn

Saturday April 16 – 8 am Armagh General Synod.

Included in each hour-long presentation will be stories and video clips of churches in Ireland that benefited from participation in Back to Church Sunday, tips on how to make the best use of available resources and a chance to ask questions.

The event is open to any member of a local church whether or not the church has previously participated in Back to Church Sunday

There is no charge. Further information is available from the secretary of the Council for Misison: the Rev Paul Hoey; email: dphoey@btinternet.com; ph. 028 6632 9655.
