Christian Aid hosts a ‘thankyou’ Picnic by the Lake
Christian Aid are hosting a Picnic by the Lake in Hillsborough on Saturday June 11 to thank all the volunteers and collectors who help out during Christian Aid Week.
Anyone who has ever collected or volunteered for the charity is invited to the barbecue which will be held at Hillsborough Fort from 2pm until 5pm. As well as plenty to eat there will be entertainment provided by Templemore Brass Band, historical tours, and to close the afternoon a special Epilogue Service at 5pm in Hillsborough Parish Church.
The service will be led by the Rt Rev Trevor Williams, Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe and chair of the Christian Aid Ireland Board.
Participants are asked to bring their own chairs/rugs and beverages (alcohol is not permitted). Anyone requiring further information should contact Christian Aid on 028 9064 8133.
