St Patrick’s, Ballymoney hosts Service of Ordination of Priests
Four new priests were ordained in Connor Diocese by the Bishop of Connor, the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, on Thursday June 9.
The St Columba’s Day Service of Ordination took place in St Patrick’s Parish Church, Ballymoney.
The four priests ordained were: The Rev Peter Ferguson, for the curacy of the Parish of Carrickfergus; the Rev Brian Lacey for the curacy of Ballymena and Ballyclug; the Rev Brian Howe in the Non-stipendiary Ministry for the Parish of Ballymoney, Finvoy and Rasharkin; and the Rev Trevor Kelly in the Non-stipendiary Ministry for the curacy of Craigs, Dunaghy and Killagan.
Guest preacher at the Service of Ordination was the Rev Patrick McGlinchey, lecturer in Missiology at the Church of Ireland Theological Institute in Dublin.
