Wednesday April 25th 2012

Bro David Jardine.Divine Healing Ministries’ Director Brother David Jardine will be leading a special service for those who have dementia on Monday May 14 at 8pm in St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast.

The guest speaker for the service will be the Rev Niall Griffin from Rostrevor. Worship for the evening will be led by Stephen McLaughlin and Lisburn Elim Group. There will be an opportunity to receive personal prayer and anointing with oil at this service, not just for dementia but for any condition.

Many people will come into contact with dementia, with Alzheimer’s Disease being one of the most commonly known forms. It is reported that 750,000 people suffer with dementia in the UK, with 16,000 being under the age of 65. Dementia is a progressive illness for which there is no known cure and only certain symptoms can be alleviated through drug and vaccine treatments.

People suffering from dementia are often unaware of the symptoms until progression is such that day to day tasks become impossible and they find themselves dependant on others. Carers often struggle as they see loved ones become withdrawn, sad, fearful or angry, as this disease attacks the brain cells causing communication problems and personality changes.

Bro Jardine said: “Divine Healing Ministries offers to pray to an All Mighty God for both sufferers and carers through our telephone prayer line and weekly services. God knows our every circumstance and need and offers His peace and His divine healing into every personal situation.

“Our recent special services at the Cathedral have provided great comfort and practical advice and we would greatly encourage you to join us on May14 at St Anne’s for this service for those suffering with Dementia.”
