New Testaments to celebrate Diamond Jubilee

Friday April 27th 2012

To celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the Church of England has commissioned the publication of commemorative New Testaments.

These will be distributed at schools, churches, street parties and other Diamond Jubilee events.

The Bibles come in two designs – the Union Jack and the Royal Arms – and a pack of 50 copies cost just £25.

The Bible includes eight pages of images from the Coronation and the Queen’s life, linking her 60 year reign and her Christian faith. There is a suggested reading section with Bible references on various topics, and a clear guide for readers.

Parishes are urged to give as many of these Bibles away as possible as the nation celebrates.

Copies should be ordered by May 1 by emailing Lynn.robinson@biblica.com and bibles will be delivered between May 7 and 15. Full details relating to the Union Jack themed Bible can be downloaded here, or Royal Arms themed Bible here.
