Catherine lands dream post as organ scholar

Organ Scholar Catherine Olver at the organ in St Bartholomew's Church when she was just 14.Congratulations to Catherine Olver, a parishioner of St Bartholomew’s, Stranmillis, who will take up the post of Organ Scholar at Rochester Cathedral, Kent, later this year.

Catherine, 17, is a former scholar with the Down & Dromore and Connor Organ Scholarship Scheme, and featured in the diocesan magazine Connor Connections in October 2009 when she talked about her enjoyment of the scheme and how her ambition was to become an organist.

With this appointment, Catherine is well on her way to realising her dreams! She takes up the post in Kent in September after finishing school.
