A Service of Holy Communion was celebrated in St Patrick’s Parish Church, beginning at 3pm, before the business of Synod was conducted in the main hall in the parish centre.
During an evening session the Rev Canon Phil Potter, Director of Pioneering Ministry with Liverpool Diocese, was the keynote speaker and this session also provided an opportunity for selected parishes to share their success stories.
Prior to Synod, clergy attended a special session with Canon Potter in which he looked at Fresh Expressions of Church. A full report of Synod will be uploaded shortly.
