Events in Ballymena Parish
Recent events in Ballymena Parish include a confirmation service, a visit by Santa Claus to the Girls Friendly Society and a presentation to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Confirmation – Eighteen candidates and two adult
s are pictured along with the Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, Bishop of Connor, following their Confirmation. Also included is Canon Stuart Lloyd (rector), the Rev Iain Jamieson (curate assistant), youth workers and church wardens.
Girls Friendly Society – The GFS had a surprise visit from Santa Claus at their final meeting in 2013. This went down a real treat with the members and leaders. Especially the leaders – they just love Santa!
Alzheimer’s Society – Jackie Greer, People’s Church Warden at St Patrick’, Ballyclug, is pictured presenting Mrs Jean Craig, a parishioner at Ballyclug, with a cheque for the Alzheimer’s Society. This was part of the money raised by Jackie at a supper he organised for the Charity.
