Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe announces his retirement

Bishop Trevor Williams.The Rt Rev Trevor Williams, Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, has announced his intention to retire at the end of July 2014.

Bishop Williams said: “It is not a decision I have come to lightly, but I am convinced it is the right time for the Diocese, my family and myself. I am very thankful for the privilege of serving the United Dioceses of Limerick and Killaloe for the past six years.”

Prior to his appointment as Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe, Bishop Williams was rector of Holy Trinity and St Silas with Immanuel, Ardoyne, Belfast, in the Diocese of Connor.
