St Paul’s, Lisburn, hosts Ordination of Deacons

The Rt Rev Alan Abernethy, Bishop of Connor, was in St Paul’s Parish Church, Lisburn, on Wednesday September 5 to ordain two new Deacons to serve in the diocese.

Bishop Alan has just returned from a period of sabbatical leave.

The new Deacons are Peter Blake, who was ordained for the internship in the Parish of Whiterock and Glencairn, Belfast, and Jonathan Cockerill who was ordained for the internship in the Parish of St Paul’s, Lisburn.

The preacher at the service was the Very Rev Sam Wright, Dean of Connor and rector of Lisburn Cathedral.
