Parishes within Mid-Belfast Rural are coming together on a weekly basis this Lent.

A service is taking place in a different church each Thursday evening, and each service will be addressed by Church Army Evangelist Stephen Whitten from Connect Base, the North Belfast Centre of Mission (now located in St Columba’s, Whiterock).

Rural Dean, the Rev Tracey McRoberts, said the services would help parishes within the rural deanery to ‘rebuild fellowship… as congregations share with each other and encourage each other along in these challenging times.’

Services have already taken place in St Mark’s and St Matthew’s Parishes Churches, and the series continues (services beginning at 7.30pm) as follows:

  • March 17 – St Michael’s
  • March 24 – St Andrew’s
  • March  31 – Immanuel
  • April 7 – Holy Trinity
