World Day of Prayer, a global, women-led, ecumenical movement, will be celebrated worldwide on Friday March 3.

The Rev Louise Bowes, Ordained Local Minister in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Mossley, is vice-chairperson of World Day of Prayer.

Louise has recently returned from a World Day of Prayer workshop in Albania. In our Spring issue of Connor Connections, Louise talks about World Day of Prayer and her role in this movement which has been active for almost 100 years.

Our diocesan magazine will be available in all our churches later this month. Make sure and pick up your copy to read more about this special day which, in 2022, brought together in spirit more than 1.5 million Christians, speaking 90 different languages, in 150 countries, as they prayed for relevant issues affecting women and children.
