‘Truly humbling’ – Canon Kevin Graham on meeting King Charles

The Rev Canon Kevin Graham, rector of Stranmillis, and his wife Cheryl were presented to His Majesty King Charles III during the annual Garden Party at Hillsborough Castle on Wednesday May 24.
Kevin was nominated to attend the Garden Party by the Lord Lieutenant for the County Borough of Belfast, Dame Fionnuala Jay-O’Boyle DBE DStJ DDL, in recognition of his support to Belfast Lieutenancy over recent years.
Cheryl Graham is presented to King Charles.
He and Cheryl were presented to King Charles by the Vice Lord Lieutenant, Dr Alan Logan DL.
Kevin said: “It was a very real honour to be invited to the Garden Party, and then to be presented to His Majesty was beyond anything I’d have ever imagined.
“It was a truly humbling experience, and His Majesty was so engaging and personable. I am deeply indebted to the Lord Lieutenant, Dame Fionnuala, for this amazing experience and my thanks go to Dr Logan DL for his hospitality on the day.”
May 24 was also Kevin’s birthday – one, he said, he will never forget!
