St Katharine’s Parish supports families in Newtownabbey
The Rev Canon William Taggart and staff from Newtownabbey Family Support & Intervention Team with some of the gifts donated by parishioners.
For the past 50 years, St Katharine’s Parish Church, Belfast, has been donating toys, books games etc to the children of Newtownabbey to help make Christmas special for them and their families.
On December 10 last, staff from Newtownabbey Family Support & Intervention Team attended the church to receive these gifts on behalf of the children. Our picture shows only a small sample of the parishioners’ gifts – donations actually filled three cars.
At the service church members learned something of the work the Family Support Team and the needs of families in the Newtownabbey area.
