Family fun at St Patrick’s Story event in Ballyclare.
St Patrick’s story came to life in Ballyclare at the weekend when families with young children made their way to St John’s Church to learn all about our Patron Saint. [Photo Gallery below]
The event on Saturday March 16 featured drama from Play It By Ear, a ‘sheep trail’ in the town centre where the children were invited to piece together the words of a Bible verse, and lots of arts and crafts in the parish hall.
The event was organised by Victoria Jackson, Connor Children’s Ministry Development Officer, and her team.
There was lots of interaction for the children and their parents during the drama and the colouring and craft activities produced some very artistic results!
Entries to a St Patrick’s Colouring competition were displayed in the hall, and the rector of Ballynure and Ballyeaston, the Rev Jonny Campbell-Smyth, had a tough time selecting the winners in the various age categories.
Well done to all those involved in organising and running this St Patrick’s Weekend event.
