Organised by Lisburn City Centre Ministers’ Fellowship, the Walk of Witness has been taking place on Good Friday for the past 20 years.

The cross at the centre of the walk began its journey in St Patrick’s Church with local clergy from different churches joining the walk through the centre of Lisburn to Market Square, where the Dean of Connor, the Very Rev Sam Wright led a service.

The children of the Abaana New Life Choir, currently touring the UK and Ireland from Uganda, joined the Walk of Witness and opened the service with Amazing Grace. Volunteers from Lisburn Cathedral’s Big Church Serve also took part in the walk.

There were readings by the Rev David Bruce, the Rev Gareth Campbell and the Rev Lee Boal, and a talk by Abaana Choir Director Sarah.

Prayers were led by members of the City Centre Ministers Fellowship and the Abaana Choir concluded the service with Oh Lord you are Beautiful.
