A team of five runners from the Parishes of Ahoghill and Portglenone took part in the Belfast Marathon on May 4 to raise funds for a new parish centre for St Colmanell’s, Ahoghill.

Ben, Carol, Abby, Rory and Neil all completed the relay race. Tom, another parishioner, also completed the race as a solo entry, raising funds for Pioneer Ministries.

St Colmanell’s has exciting plans to build the new parish centre adjacent to its main church building in Ahoghill.

This will provide much-needed modern facilities, including a new main hall with kitchen facilities, multi-purpose meeting rooms and office space, dedicated Sunday School and crèche facilities, and a flexible hospitality space with a coffee dock.

Fundraising for the project is ongoing, and the parish hopes to appoint a contractor and begin the building work by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
